Ester Skogsrud was a Norwegian pianist and piano teacher, born on December 7, 1905, in Kristiania, and died on June 3, 1992, in Oslo. She received part of her music education from Nils Larsen's piano school and was also a student of Erling Westher. Skogsrud, daughter of musician and composer Even Skogsrud, often performed her father's compositions. She taught piano in Oslo and had notable students, including pianists Jens Harald Bratlie and Morten Gunnar Larsen. In 1951, she completed her studies at the Oslo Conservatory of Music.
