Esther Núñez Morera is a retired Catalan swimmer specialized in long-distance and open-water events. Born on February 5, 1981, in Sabadell, she became the first Catalan to win the Open Water World Cup twice. An accomplished athlete, she is a six-time Catalonia champion in long-distance swimming and has multiple national titles. Besides swimming, she holds degrees in Education and Physical Activity and Sports Sciences. Married to Argentine swimmer Damián Blaum, she announced her retirement in September 2018 and is set to publish her autobiography 'Aigües obertes'.
