Ismael 'Esy' Morales Sanabria was a Puerto Rican musician born on March 3, 1917, in Puerta de Tierra (San Juan). He was primarily recognized as a flutist and orchestra leader in the Latin music scene. Morales is considered one of the important early jazz flutists, contributing significantly to the development of Latin jazz. Unfortunately, his life was cut short when he passed away on November 2, 1950, in New York City.
