Eter Qemertelidze is a distinguished Georgian pharmacochemist born on March 23, 1926, in Sachkhere. She became a professor in 1977 and was elected a corresponding member of the Georgian Academy of Sciences in 1979, later becoming an academician in 1993. She is also an academician of the Georgian Academy of Ecological Sciences (1995) and the Georgian Academy of Medical and Biological Sciences (1994). Additionally, she became a member of the Russian Academy of Medical and Technical Sciences in 2004. Her contributions have earned her several honors.
