Ethel Eleanor Beatrice Chipchase (February 1916 – 1 February 1986) was a British trade unionist known for her activism in labor rights and women's issues. Growing up in poverty, she became involved with the TSSA and Labour Party, running for election in 1950. At the TUC, she was the first Woman Officer and played a pivotal role in the Equal Pay Act of 1970 and the Sex Discrimination Act of 1975. Chipchase was also influential in international labor policy and received recognition as a Member of the Order of the British Empire in 1972.
