Ettore Costantini, known as Vecio, was an Italian mountaineer born in Cortina d'Ampezzo on February 21, 1921, and passed away on June 5, 1998. He was a member of the Cortina climbing group known as the 'Scoiattoli'. Costantini is noted for opening various challenging climbing routes in the Dolomites, including a route on the Tofana di Rozes with a difficulty rating of 5 to 6, which was considered one of his toughest achievements. His contributions to alpinism in Italy are well recognized.
