María Eva Almunia Badía, born on March 3, 1960, is a politician from Aragon and a member of the Partido de los Socialistas de Aragón. She served as the Conseller of Education, Culture, and Sports in the Aragon Government from July 11, 2001, to April 15, 2008, and as the Conseller of the Presidency from October 27, 2010. Before these roles, she was the Secretary of State for Education and Training in the government of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. Her political career began as a councilor in her hometown of Esplús.
