She is notably the only Spanish athlete to have competed in the Spartathlon, achieving third place in the 2014 race, covering the 247 km from Athens to Sparta in 30 hours and 52 minutes. Her record includes national and world bests in various ultramarathon categories, representing Spain in multiple IAU World Championships. At 61, she made history as the oldest athlete to officially represent Spain in an international competition.
