Éva V. Bálint is a Hungarian journalist, editor, and reporter, born on February 26, 1947, in Budapest. She worked for Magyar Hírlap from 1978 to 1988 and served as its chief editor from 1989 to 2002. She was a teacher at the Bálint György Journalism Academy from 1993 to 1996 and 1998 to 1999. Bálint is a founding member of the Ady Society, the Hungarian UNESCO Committee, and the Raoul Wallenberg Association. Additionally, she served as vice president of the Hungarian Jewish Cultural Association from 1990 to 1992.
