Eva contributed significantly to her field, working at the Fysiologisk Institutt and the Carlsberg Laboratory. She conducted research in St. Louis under Nobel laureates Carl and Gerty Cori. In 1956, she earned her doctorate with a thesis on the effects of adrenaline and noradrenaline on muscle metabolism.
