Evdokia Peteva-Filova was a prominent Bulgarian ethnographer and art historian born on March 21, 1901, in Shumen. Daughter of Colonel Vasil Petev, she studied art history and philosophy in Munich and Würzburg. Starting her career as a teacher, she later became a curator at the National Ethnographic Museum. She authored numerous works on Bulgarian folk art and organized exhibitions abroad. As the wife of Prime Minister Bogdan Filov, she experienced political turmoil after the 1944 coup, leading to her imprisonment and subsequent exile. She passed away in Sofia in early March 1973.
