Colonel Evelio Otero, Jr. is a former United States Air Force officer known for establishing the first U.S. Central Command headquarters in Qatar. He helped found the Polish and Colombian Special Operations Commands while serving with the U.S. Special Operations Command. A member of the Republican Party, Otero ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in Florida's 11th congressional district in 2012. He has a background in military intelligence and has worked as a military and political commentator.
