Evelyn Adiru is a retired Ugandan middle-distance runner born on May 25, 1964, known for competing in the 800 metres and 1500 metres. She achieved a notable success by winning a gold medal in the 800 metres at the 1982 African Championships held in Cairo. Adiru represented Uganda in the 1984 Summer Olympics but did not reach the finals. After her athletic career, she was part of the University of Alabama track team from 1984 to 1989 and later relocated to Ontario, Canada.
