Evgenija Borisovna Smagina (born May 23, 1954, Moscow) is a Soviet and Russian philologist-biblest, translator from Greek, Coptic, Ancient Hebrew, Aramaic, German, French, and other languages. She is one of the leading Russian specialists in Manichaeism and Gnosticism, and was involved in the second complete translation of the Bible into Russian in 2011. She holds a Ph.D. in philology and is one of the authors of the Great Russian Encyclopedia.
