Eyvind Schibbye is a retired Lieutenant General in the Air Force, born on February 26, 1933. After completing flight school in 1953 and the Air Warfare School in 1956, he served as the chief of Bodø Main Air Station and commander of air forces in southern Norway. He also held the position of commander of Southern Norway and chief of the Defense Command Southern Norway. Schibbye is a commander of the Order of St. Olav and has been awarded the Defense Medal and the Defense Capability Medal.
