Faauuga Muagututia, born on May 13, 1958, in Pago Pago, is an American bobsledder from American Samoa. A former member of the US Navy and Navy Seals, he started bobsledding in 1992. He qualified for the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, becoming the first athlete from American Samoa to compete in Winter Olympics, finishing 39th in the two-man bobsleigh event with partner Brad Kiltz. Muagututia's wife, Kathy, is a professional volleyball player, and they have three sons, one of whom, Garrett, played for the US national volleyball team.
