Farah Omar was a Lebanese journalist born on June 16, 1998, in the village of Mashghara, Bekaa Valley, and living in Beirut. She held a Master's in Journalism and Media and worked for various Lebanese radio and television stations, including Lebanon Radio and NNA Network. Beginning her professional career in 2021 at Al Mayadeen News Channel as an editor and reporter, she covered the 2022 Lebanese parliamentary elections and the Turkish elections in May 2023. Tragically, she was killed on November 21, 2023, during Israeli shelling while covering the Israel-Palestine war.
