Faraj Hawwar is a Tunisian writer, novelist, and researcher born in Hammam Sousse on February 12, 1954. He completed his primary and secondary education in Sousse and graduated from the Higher Institute of Teachers in Tunisia in 1978, specializing in French language and literature. He writes in both Arabic and French, and his novel 'The Conspiracy' was selected in 1992 as one of the best 100 novels published in the twentieth century.
