Fariborz Sahba is an Iranian-Canadian architect and Baha’i born on March 21, 1948, in Mashhad. He is known for designing significant structures including the terraces at the Shrine of the Bab and the Baha'i World Centre visitor centre in Haifa, as well as the Lotus Temple in Delhi and the Iranian embassy in Beijing. After obtaining his architecture degree from the University of Tehran in 1972, he worked on various projects, including the Culture House and the Academy of Fine Arts in Kurdistan, Iran, before relocating to Vancouver due to persecution following the Iranian Revolution.
