Farida Yasmin (1940 - August 8, 2015) was a renowned Bangladeshi singer known for her performances in films and radio between 1958 and 1968. She was skilled in modern Bengali, Urdu songs, and Ghazals, with famous songs like 'Tumi Jibone Morone Amay Apan Korecho.' Four of the five Yasmin sisters, including the famous Sabina Yasmin, also pursued music. Farida married the writer Kazi Anwar Hossain in 1962 but later withdrew from music for personal reasons, returning intermittently before completely retiring in the late 1990s. She passed away in Dhaka in 2015.
