Fārūq Khūrshīd (March 28, 1928 - January 20, 2005) was an Egyptian author and literary figure. After graduating from the Faculty of Arts at Cairo University in 1950, he co-founded the Egyptian Literary Society with notable figures Salah Abd al-Sabour and Abd al-Ghaffar Makawi. This organization played a crucial role in their literary recognition, particularly after the launch of their magazine 'Al-Amin'. Most of the society's members were graduates from the Faculty of Arts and students of Sheikh Amin al-Khuli.
