Faryion Wardrip is an American serial killer born on March 6, 1959. He sexually assaulted and murdered five women between late 1984 and mid-1986, mostly in Wichita Falls, Texas. He confessed to the murder of one victim and was initially sentenced to 35 years but paroled in 1997. After DNA evidence linked him to other unsolved murders, he was sentenced to death in 1999 for one murder and received three life terms for the others. His crimes highlighted issues in coordinated law enforcement investigations.
