Father Stanislaus Lourduswamy, known as Stan Swamy, was an Indian Roman Catholic priest and a member of the Jesuit order. He was born on April 26, 1937, and passed away on July 5, 2021. For decades, he was an advocate for tribal rights in India. He became notable as the oldest person in India to be charged with terrorism allegations. In October 2020, he was arrested under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act for his alleged involvement in the Bhima Koregaon violence and links to the Communist Party of India (Maoist).
