Fayṣal Abū Sharkh (also known as Fayṣal Mahmoud Ḥamad Abū Sharkh) was born on July 12, 1948, and passed away on June 27, 2022. He served as the head of the Presidential Guard (the 17th Forces) and was a member of the Revolutionary Council of Fatah. He joined the Palestinian revolution at an early age and actively participated in battles for Palestine. In 1985, he was arrested by the Israeli Navy while traveling from Lebanon to Cyprus and later returned home to lead the Presidential Guard.
