Fazal Qureshi is an Indian classical musician born on February 13, 1961, in Bombay. He is skilled in percussion, voice, and composition, and is also active in fusion music. Coming from a musical family, he was taught by his father, tabla virtuoso Alla Rakha. Fazal began his career early in North Indian classical music, collaborating with prominent musicians and joining the fusion band Mynta in 1987. He has released several albums and has been teaching at the Ustad Alla Rakha Institute since 2012.
