Ferdinand Tjemsland (1917–1944) was a Norwegian resistance fighter during World War II and a significant member of the Tjemsland group. Born in Stavanger to working-class parents, he excelled academically and became politically active at age 18. He engaged in anti-fascist activities and worked undercover against the Germans. Arrested by the Gestapo in 1943, he was sentenced to death and executed in Trandumskogen in May 1944. His legacy includes his commitment to both his political beliefs and personal faith, which he disclosed to his parents in a final letter.
