Ferit Sıdal (March 1, 1925 - August 9, 2001) was a Turkish tambur virtuoso and composer born in Ankara. Initially trained under Tevfik Bey, a student of the legendary Tamburi Cemil Bey, he later worked with İzzettin Ökte. He started his career in banking but became a tambur artist at Ankara Radio in 1950. Sıdal expanded his role to include choir conducting and began composing in 1951, creating over 100 works. He served as the director of Turkish Art Music at TRT for 13 years before retiring in 1990, receiving the title of State Artist in 1998.
