Fernando "Dong" Ulson Batul (1969-2006) was a Filipino journalist and politician known for his work as a radio broadcaster and commentator in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. He served as city vice mayor in 2001 but was unseated before completing his term. Batul was an anchorman when he was assassinated in 2006, being the first journalist killed in Palawan and the fifth broadcaster killed in the Philippines that year. His commentaries often criticized political figures and governance in Palawan, garnering both support and anger from listeners.
