Fernando Martín Espina was a Spanish basketball player born on March 25, 1962, in Madrid. He started his professional career in 1979 and was selected by the Brooklyn Nets during the draft. Standing 6 feet 9 inches (2.1 m) tall, he represented the Spanish national team and participated in the 1984 Summer Olympic Games. Martín retired from professional basketball in 1989, and he was later inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame. He passed away on December 3, 1989.
