After completing his high school education, he studied law at the University of Göttingen, graduating with his first state examination in 2018. Junge won a gold medal at the 2015 Canoe Polo European Championship and again at the 2017 World Games with the German men's team. He was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf for his achievements but tragically passed away in July 2018 due to meningitis.
