Filemon Lagman, also known as Ka Popoy, was a revolutionary socialist and labor leader in the Philippines. Born on March 17, 1953, he became notable for breaking away from the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) in 1991 to form the Partido ng Manggagawa (Workers' Party). He was the first victim of a political killing linked to the rule of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. His death raised suspicions of involvement by former comrades in the Communist Party of the Philippines.
