Filip Gartner is a Slovenian ski coach born on May 9, 1939, in Češnjica pri Železnikih. He grew up as one of ten siblings and studied forestry and economics. He began his coaching career in 1964 and became a professional in 1967, coaching the Ski Club Branik for 14 years. He later coached national teams from Yugoslavia, Austria, and Norway for 24 years. After retiring in 2002, he remained an active snow controller for the International Ski Federation. He was recognized for his contributions to sports in Slovenia with two awards.
