Florián García Velasco, known as Grande, was a Spanish republic military, communist militant, and anti-Franco guerrilla. Born on December 17, 1916, in Aldealcorvo, Segovia, he served in various roles during the Spanish Civil War, eventually achieving the rank of captain. After the war, he went underground and joined the Agrupación Guerrillera de Levante y Aragón. He lived in exile in France and Czechoslovakia, working as a turner and journalist. After returning to Spain in 1978, he continued his political activism with the PCE and Izquierda Unida, while preserving the legacy of the AGLA.
