He served as the general director of Romtelecom in 1998 and became a member of the board of Cosmorom in 1999. From 2004 to 2008, he was the president of the Prahova County Council and served as a deputy in the 2008-2012 legislature. He has been affiliated with several political parties, including PNȚCD, PUR, PNL, Conservator Party, PNDC, and PDL. Anghel's company, Fibec, has conducted multiple contracts with the state since 2000.
