Fontel Mines is an American football coach and former tight end born on February 26, 1985. He is currently the wide receivers coach and offensive recruiting coordinator at Virginia Tech. Before this role, he served as the tight end coach for the Old Dominion Monarchs. Mines played college football at the University of Virginia under coach Al Groh from 2002 to 2006 and went on to have a three-season career in the NFL from 2007 to 2009.
