Antonio Fraguas de Pablo, known artistically and popularly as Forges, was a prominent Spanish graphic humorist born in Madrid on December 17, 1942, and he passed away in the same city on February 22, 2018. Throughout his professional career, he received numerous awards and honors, including the Creu de Sant Jordi, the International Humor Prize Gat Perich, the Gold Medal for Merit at Work, and the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts. He was also awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Alcalá and the University Miguel Hernández of Elche.
