Francis Martin Berry, born on January 2, 1981, in County Kildare, is a retired Irish jockey known primarily for his success in Flat racing. Following in the footsteps of his father, a champion jump racing jockey, Fran began his career in National Hunt racing, notably winning the Coral Cup in 1999. He later shifted focus to Flat racing, serving as a second jockey for John Oxx and eventually becoming the leading jockey in 2010. After a serious fall in 2019 led to his retirement, Berry's racing statistics boasted over 1,200 career victories.
