Francesco Petretti is an Italian biologist, ornithologist, and science communicator born on December 6, 1959, in Rome. He served as the president of the Biopark Foundation of Rome from 2018 to 2021. Petretti teaches conservation biology at the University of Perugia and previously taught wildlife management at the University of Camerino. He is a member of the scientific committee of WWF Italy and has produced numerous nature documentaries. He has also directed scientific content for various programs and served as a collaborator for the magazine Oasis.
