Francis Gerard O'Brien was a Canadian politician and farmer born on December 15, 1927, in Morell, Prince Edward Island. He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly for 2nd Kings from 1982 to 1989, representing the Progressive Conservative Party. O'Brien started his career as a mink and beef farmer before entering provincial politics. He was elected as a councillor in the 1982 election and successfully re-elected in 1986, but lost his seat in 1989 to Liberal candidate Walter Bradley.
