Franco P. Marquicias was a prominent Filipino basketball player, born on December 17, 1905, and passed away on April 20, 1982. He represented the Philippines at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, contributing to the national team's historical fifth-place finish. Marquicias was part of the 1927 Philippine quintet that won the Far Eastern Olympic Championship in Shanghai and also played significant roles in the 1934 Olympic Championship team. Later, he served as a playing coach for Heacock, leading his team to a runner-up finish in the MICAA tournament.
