François de Sales Marie Adrien Saint-Macary was a French prelate of the Catholic Church, born on January 7, 1936, in Orthez, France. He became a priest on June 12, 1960, before being appointed as the Coadjutor Bishop of Nice in 1983 and later serving as the Bishop of Nice. In 1997, he was named Coadjutor Archbishop of Rennes and succeeded Jacques Jullien as Archbishop until his death on March 26, 2007. His contributions to the church were recognized during his tenure as a significant ecclesiastical leader in France.
