Frank Abbandando, known as 'The Dasher', was a notorious New York City contract killer and mobster active in the 1930s, associated with Murder, Inc. He was infamous for his brutal methods, particularly using an ice pick to stab victims in the heart. Abbandando's criminal activities led to his conviction for the murder of a Brooklyn loan shark, resulting in his execution in the electric chair at Sing Sing prison on February 19, 1942.
