Frank Chirkinian was an Armenian-American television sports producer and director, best known for his exceptional work in golf coverage. His extensive career also included directing major sporting events such as the Winter Olympics, the United States Open Tennis Championships, college and professional American football, auto racing, and the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing. Chirkinian passed away at his home in Florida due to lung cancer. He was posthumously inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame shortly before his death.
