Cecil Frank Glass (1901-1988) was a British-South African communist and Trotskyist, active in China and the USA. He emigrated to Cape Town from England as a child and worked as a messenger and accountant. Glass became the youngest delegate at the founding congress of the Communist Party of South Africa in 1921, later converting to Trotskyism. He worked as a journalist in Shanghai and became a significant figure in the Trotskyist movement in China before moving to the US, where he joined the Socialist Workers Party.
