Frank Reginald 'Chota' Carey was a distinguished Royal Air Force fighter pilot and flying ace during World War II. Born in London in 1912, he began his RAF career as an apprentice metal rigger and later became a fighter pilot. Carey was known for his bravery in the Battle of Britain and was credited with shooting down 23 enemy aircraft. Throughout his career, he received several honors, including the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Commander of the Order of the British Empire. He retired from the RAF in 1960 and passed away in 2004.
