Frank Anthony Sturgis, born Frank Angelo Fiorini, was one of the five burglars in the 1972 Watergate scandal. A former U.S. Marine, he changed his name in 1952. Sturgis had ties to Cuban exiled leaders and was involved in anti-Castro operations, including training exiles for the failed Bay of Pigs invasion. He collaborated with the CIA and sought to undermine Fidel Castro's government through armed resistance. Sturgis was arrested during the Watergate break-in and pleaded guilty during the trial, revealing connections to organized crime and CIA activities.
