Franta Belsky, born František Bělský on April 6, 1921, in Brno, was a Czech-British sculptor. His family fled to the United Kingdom in 1939, and after a brief return to Czechoslovakia post-World War II, he permanently resettled in Britain in 1948. Belsky gained significant recognition as a sculptor, notably being the only artist to have portrayed members of four generations of the British royal family. He passed away on July 5, 2000, in Abingdon-on-Thames, UK.
