František Piškanin is a Czech entrepreneur born on March 17, 1947, in Stanovice. He founded the logistics company HOPI in 1992 and developed it in partnership with German businessman Rudolf Houdek. Piškanin bought out Houdek's shares in 2012 for approximately half a billion CZK. He won the Czech Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2012 and represented the Czech Republic in the global finals. In 2016, he was awarded the Medal of Merit by President Miloš Zeman for his contributions to the economy. He also publicly supported the ANO 2011 party in 2013.
