František 'Čuňas' Stárek, born on December 1, 1952, in Plzeň, is a Czech publicist and historical researcher. He was the former editor-in-chief of the magazine Vokno and a dissident who was imprisoned for five years under totalitarian rule. After 1989, he worked for the Czech Security Information Service (BIS) and became involved in politics. He co-founded the oldest Czech rock festival, Trutnov Open Air Festival, which was held in Brno as TrutnOFF BrnoON from 2020 to 2022, alongside Martin Věchet.
