Fredrick Don Peters Jr. was an American animator and comics artist born on January 22, 1923, in Avant, Oklahoma, and raised in Webb City. He graduated from Webb City High School and later married Alice Moore Brown, with whom he had four children. Peters served in World War II, and his draft card was issued on June 29, 1942. He contributed his artistic talents to well-known organizations, including Disney and EC Comics, and also worked for the Boston Globe before passing away on May 18, 2018.
